Originally it was wholly covered with cream coloured powdery clay, to stimulate fake dirt. But i washed off some, and there are some clay remaining, as seen from the whitish patches. These fakes are made in China, and firstly the brass coins are coated with black paint and then coated with clay, to make it look old. But the "fake factor" is very obvious, as they are normally sold as fantasies and not meant to fool anyone. Identified by zeno.ru member
